Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust automated test scripts for web, API, and backend testing using Python or JavaScript.
  • Develop reusable test components and libraries to boost automation efficiency.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Lead requirement analysis to identify testable scenarios and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute functional, regression, performance, and usability test cases.
  • Log and prioritize defects with clear descriptions and follow up on fixes.
  • Contribute to and maintain automated testing frameworks, suggesting enhancements.
  • Evaluate new testing tools and technologies to optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders, communicating testing status and risks.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience as an SDET, with a proven track record in automated test suites.
  • Proficiency in ETL/database testing using SQL.
  • Experience with test data creation and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS environments (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Gherkin, BDD, and TDD methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js for test automation.
  • Expertise in frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or pytest.
  • Understanding of black-box, white-box, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
  • Basic SQL skills for data-driven testing.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with low-code automation tools like Mabl.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills for defect root-cause analysis.
