Picture yourself in Bangalore, testing web and mobile apps that help millions learn better. As a Software Tester at Gururo, you’ll dive into manual and automated testing, working on platforms with web interfaces, mobile apps, and APIs. This role’s perfect for someone with 2–3 years of testing experience who’s pumped to tackle functional, performance, and UI/UX testing while mentoring newbies.
You’ll write test cases, track bugs in Jira, and dabble in automation with Java or Python. What You’ll Be Doing
- Running manual tests on web and mobile apps to ensure they’re smooth and user-friendly.
- Writing test cases and scenarios for new features, from UI to backend APIs.
- Teaming up with devs to spot bugs, recreate issues, and log them in Jira.
- Using Java or Python to create or run automation scripts for regression tests.
- Performing functional, integration, performance, and UI/UX tests to keep quality high.
- Testing mobile apps (Android/iOS) and cross-platform compatibility.
- Managing and mentoring junior testers or new devs with your QA wisdom.
- Documenting quality processes for use across Gururo’s global teams.
- Suggesting tweaks to improve app functionality, design, System: and usability.
- Leading testing projects through each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
What You Need to Jump In
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–3 years of experience as a Software Tester, with a mix of manual and automated testing.
- Ability to work hybrid in Bangalore with a reliable commute.
- Basic knowledge of Java or Python for automation testing.
- A passion for quality and a drive to learn new testing tricks.
