What You’ll Do
As a Regression Test Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of HPE’s Mist Cloud platform. Your work will directly impact our customers’ experience, making sure our web GUI and REST API features are robust and dependable. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Perform QA validation for Mist Cloud’s Web GUI and REST API, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Design and improve test architectures to enhance system robustness.
- Create and manage defect and enhancement tickets in our tracking system, collaborating closely with the Engineering team.
- Support regular code releases through staging smoke tests and production sanity tests.
- Develop, execute, and automate regression test cases to maintain product quality.
- Recreate customer-reported issues and work with Engineering to resolve them efficiently.
- Partner with the Customer Success team to enhance test coverage based on customer feedback.
- Escalate critical issues promptly to ensure timely resolution.
- Create technical documentation in Confluence for QA and Customer Success teams.
- Manage multiple projects with composure, demonstrating independence and teamwork.
What You Need to Bring
We’re looking for a motivated individual with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for quality assurance. Here are the qualifications and skills we’re seeking:
Minimum Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in software testing or related fields (freshers with strong fundamentals are welcome).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Solid programming fundamentals, with proficiency in Python.
- Ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and communicate project status and risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with UI and API troubleshooting.
- Experience writing regression test cases.
- Basic knowledge of JSON and Django RESTful APIs.
- Prior experience with automation tools like Selenium or Pytest.
- Familiarity with networking technologies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to take initiative and be resourceful.
