Your Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer at Mettler Toledo, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our software meets the highest quality standards. You’ll dive into the full software development lifecycle, from analyzing requirements to executing tests and resolving defects. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Develop deep product and domain knowledge to understand our precision instruments inside out.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, adhering to our rigorous test processes.
- Analyze requirements and apply test design techniques to create clear, maintainable manual test cases.
- Design workflows that cover multiple requirements, reducing execution and automation efforts.
- Achieve 100% test coverage to ensure no stone is left unturned.
- Execute manual tests, log defects, and retest fixes, clearly communicating issues to the project team.
- Verify defects and perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
- Set up and maintain test environments, including hardware, to simulate real-world conditions.
- Update test cases based on evolving requirements, ensuring they remain relevant.
- Participate in test case reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
- Collaborate on troubleshooting and resolving defects, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Actively engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement in our Agile environment.
- Communicate test progress clearly to the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Work in a vibrant, international team, showcasing excellent team spirit and communication skills.
What You Need to Succeed
We’re looking for a driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Here are the qualifications and skills you’ll need:
- Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MCA from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in system testing or embedded systems testing.
- Required Skills:
- Strong ability to analyze and clarify requirements for the development team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
- Proven ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
- Hands-on experience with ALM or test management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, IBM ALM, or HP QC.
- Solid understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies, applied in daily work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Desirable Skills:
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Systems (OOS).
