Primary Responsibilities
As a QA Automation Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of our quality assurance efforts, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:
- Writing high-quality automation scripts and participating in code reviews to maintain excellence.
- Designing and architecting testing frameworks for systems of varying complexity.
- Planning and executing performance tests for websites and back-end services for every release.
- Engaging in team meetings, stand-ups, and architecture/design discussions to shape our solutions.
- Identifying and improving frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Evaluating success metrics and refining reporting systems to track progress.
- Diving deep into catalog data to understand functional areas and improve solution quality.
- Contributing to the team’s roadmap and driving testing across our ecosystem of applications, workflows, and processes.
- Leading a process-driven approach to software testing, collaborating with colleagues to uphold high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Required Skills
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a passion for quality. You’ll need:
- B.Tech/BE in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
- 4+ years of experience developing automation testing scripts, with expertise in Java (knowledge of shell scripts is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver for frontend and backend testing.
- Advanced experience with Rest Assured for API/Web-Services testing on desktop and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with message queue systems like Kafka or JMS-based solutions (e.g., MQ).
- Practical knowledge of Agile Testing methodologies.
- Experience with relational databases, schema design, and complex SQL queries.
- Comfort with Linux or other UNIX server-class operating systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to learn new tools quickly.
Desirable Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills will make you stand out:
- Prior experience in eCommerce or Retail domains.
- Knowledge of Hybris, Jenkins, or repositories.
- Experience with automation testing using Appium.
- Exposure to performance testing concepts.
