Job Description

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Automation Tester to join our Pune office and help us deliver flawless software solutions to our global clients. This is a full-time role based in Pune, with a start date as soon as possible, offering a competitive salary range of INR 10-18 LPA (commensurate with experience).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit, ensuring robust test coverage for web and mobile applications.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, working closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test plans.
  • Analyze test results, generate quality metrics, and provide actionable insights to improve software performance and reliability.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Git, streamlining the development and deployment process.
  • Stay updated on the latest testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies, bringing fresh ideas to enhance our testing processes.
  • Contribute to test strategy development, ensuring alignment with Agile and SDLC methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on Java, Selenium, and related tools.
  • Proven expertise in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or GitLab, and familiarity with version control systems.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Strong programming skills in scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test script development.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify test scenarios for maximum coverage.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their testing implications.
  • Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Background in testing microservices or containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications in testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or automation tools.
