Position: Software Testing Engineer
Location: Hyderabad or Pune, India
Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: ₹8,00,000 – ₹12,00,000 per annum (based on experience)

Responsibilities

As a Software Testing Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our quality assurance process, ensuring our software meets the highest standards. Your key responsibilities include:

Reviewing software requirements and preparing detailed test scenarios.
Executing tests to evaluate software usability and functionality.
Analyzing test results for database impacts, errors, bugs, and usability issues.
Preparing comprehensive reports on testing outcomes and communicating findings to the design team.
Interacting with clients to understand product requirements and expectations.
Participating in design reviews, providing input on requirements, product design, and potential issues.
Designing and developing test automation scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.
Contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines using CI/CD tools.

Qualification Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who bring both technical expertise and a passion for quality. The ideal candidate should have:

B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or B.Sc./MCA.
Approximately 3 years of hands-on experience in application development and software testing.
Proven experience in automation testing, particularly with Java and Selenium WebDriver.
Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
In-depth understanding of databases, including SQL Server and MySQL, with hands-on querying experience.
Experience in testing Android and iOS applications.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, you’ll need a robust skill set, including:

Proficiency in Core Java for developing automation scripts.
Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web application testing.
Experience with API testing using tools like SoapUI and Postman.
Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
Solid understanding of QA automation principles and JavaScript for scripting.
Strong database skills, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications (Android and iOS).

Desirable Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills will give you an edge:

Knowledge of additional automation testing tools and frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
