The Role: QA Manual Engineer
As a QA Manual Engineer at Vaave, you’ll be the gatekeeper of quality, ensuring our web and mobile applications perform flawlessly across frontend, backend, and system components. You’ll dive deep into manual testing, uncovering bugs, verifying functionality, and contributing to a user experience that keeps our clients coming back. Based in our vibrant Hyderabad office, this full-time, in-office role offers the opportunity to work closely with developers, product managers, and support teams to shape the future of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually test web and mobile applications to identify bugs and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Test frontend, backend, regression, integration, and system components of Vaave’s applications.
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements to align testing efforts.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual test cases and document bugs clearly, tracking them through to resolution.
- Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, integration, system, and security testing.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and support teams to understand features and enhance quality.
- Participate in product design and requirement reviews, providing actionable QA feedback.
- Contribute to improving Vaave’s QA processes, standards, and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Expertise in functional testing, regression testing, UI/UX testing, and cross-browser testing.
- Ability to document and communicate bugs effectively to development teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across teams.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium or QTP is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with performance testing or security testing concepts.
- Experience with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Understanding of cloud-based testing environments.
