Responsibilities
As a Performance Test Engineer at ZL Technologies, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our systems perform flawlessly under pressure. Your key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing comprehensive performance test plans and testing activities to evaluate system scalability and reliability.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and issues through rigorous testing and analysis.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to address and resolve performance issues.
- Executing load, stress, and scalability tests to simulate real-world usage scenarios.
- Analyzing test results and providing actionable recommendations to optimize system performance.
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging tools in performance testing to keep ZL Technologies ahead of the curve.
- Promoting performance standards and best practices, providing guidance to other software engineers.
- Writing scripts and tools as needed to support testing requirements.
- Updating progress of testing activities and submitting metrics to the test lead for reporting.
Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of overall experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on performance testing and tuning.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Solid systems knowledge to understand and test intricate architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong scripting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work in the USA time zone to align with global teams.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and understanding database concepts.
- Extensive experience with software testing, including expertise in SDLC and STLC processes.
- Proven ability to create test plans, test cases, defect reports, documentation, and performance reports.
Desirable Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Azure, to enhance testing capabilities.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python for scripting and automation.
